An Australian motorcycle racer and the son of 1987 500cc world champion Wayne Gardner. He started riding at age four, began racing on track at ten, and built his early career in Australia before moving to Spain, where he developed through the Moto3 and Moto2 pipeline after strong junior results.
Gardner made his World Championship debut in 2014, raced full-time in Moto3 in 2015, and then established himself in Moto2, where his big breakthrough came in 2021 when he won the Moto2 World Championship with Red Bull KTM Ajo. After a season in MotoGP in 2022, he switched to WorldSBK with GYTR GRT Yamaha in 2023. Since then, he has become a consistent Superbike contender, scoring podium finishes at Assen in both 2024 and 2025. More recently, Gardner re-signed with Yamaha through 2027 and continues racing in WorldSBK in 2026.
